Name: Martha Qaunaq

Bio: Martha Qaunaq was born on March 5th, 1947 in Qakkiaq. She moved to Arctic Bay in 1966. She and her husband have seven children; two of four sons are adopted and she has three daughters. She is a skilled seamstress who works well with both traditional and modern material. She loves seeing a product in near completion, it is then she knows it was made very well and will be very useful. Martha would like to see a facility large enough to house all the women in the community when they want to get together and sew.
