Name: Alex Akikuluk

Bio: Alex Akikuluk was born on April 30th, 1974 in Iqaluit. He moved to Arctic Bay in 1976. He has one daughter and one adopted son. His profession is carving. He carves many different types of stone, soap stone, ivory caribou antlers and also makes works with silver for jewelry. Alex says it feels great to complete a carving, when you get good it’s a good living.
