PDF Maps

The maps available for download below are draft versions of maps produced by Inuit Heritage Trust based on years of research and interviews with Elders and other knowledgeable community members in each of the areas. The maps point out locations of significance to the Inuit people of Nunavut, along with the representations of the original names and significance or story behind the location. The Inuit make extensive use of land, water, and ice in their day to day lives and the diversity of named locations reflects a deep connection to the north.
